The Car Wash Whose Queue Never Jams: FaraERP Service Management for Car Washes

It’s a sunny Friday morning. The line of cars reaches the street, the washers don’t know whose turn it is, drivers keep coming to the till every five minutes, and at night the cash doesn’t match the number of cars washed. At a car wash, queue speed is everything — and a jammed queue means a customer who drives off and never comes back.
FaraERP’s service management has a dedicated car-wash profile: every car is booked in by its plate, each bay has its own queue, and no car slips through the cracks.
At a glance
- Vehicle intake by make, model and plate, under its owner.
- A queue per bay and calls with a display and voice in the waiting area.
- The customer’s notes and requests and an estimated ready-by time on the admission.
- A “your car is ready” message, consumables that add up, a cash desk and receipts.
Intake in seconds
Customers are found by phone number, and their car stays on file under their name with make, model and plate — next time, intake takes seconds. Services are picked — exterior wash, interior clean, engine wash, polish or ceramic coating, whatever you define — and a special request such as “stain on the back seat” sits on the admission. The estimated ready-by time is clear from the start.
A queue that runs itself
- A queue per bay: each bay has its own queue, and the washer knows which car is next.
- Calls with a display and voice: one “call” sends the car to its bay and the waiting-room TV announces it; drivers stop crowding the till.
- Extra work at the bay: if the washer suggests a headlight polish and the customer agrees, the service is recorded and appears at the till at once with a payment button.
- Consumables that add up: shampoo, wax and polish have default quantities per service; extra use is charged automatically.
“Your car is ready”
A customer who left the car and walked off doesn’t need to call. When the job is done, the system sends a ready notice — WhatsApp first and SMS if that doesn’t arrive — automatically if the branch wants, or with one click at reception. And for regulars, you book the next wash right there.
The shared backbone: from booking to the books
Underneath these specialist features runs the same engine that makes FaraERP’s service management dependable for any service business:
- Booking on your own rules: a separate policy per branch, service and washer — slot length, capacity, daily caps and an SMS booking confirmation.
- Queue and waiting-room display: one “call” sends the customer to the bay, and the waiting-room TV calls them out.
- Extra work without paperwork: a service the washer adds appears instantly on the reception screen with a payment button.
- Consumables that add up: each service has default consumables and an “included” quantity; anything beyond it is added to the bill automatically at the excess rate.
- Cash desk and receipts: cash, card terminal and bank transfer, with refunds and voids; printed receipts at 80 or 58 mm or A5, with your name and logo.
- Receipts matched to the bank: card-transfer receipts are matched against the bank statement; receipts with no deposit and deposits with no receipt are flagged separately.
- Customers who come back: admissions can enrol the customer in the CRM automatically, so targeted campaigns — say, everyone who hasn’t been in for a while — can invite them back.
- A manager’s dashboard: unique, new and returning customers, average revenue per customer, and each washer’s output.
- The rest of FaraERP on the same database: accounting, inventory, purchasing, HR and payroll — with no re-entry.
